THE TRUE FLAVORS OF CHIANTI AT THE OSTERIA ENOTECA I VIGNAIOLI
Fabrizio and Eleonora Angilella have been our acquaintances for several years for the quality restaurants they have managed in Florence. The call of Chianti, however, led them to the Osteria Enoteca i Vignaioli in Pontenuovo, right at the exit of the Florence-Siena highway, and a few kilometers from their farm "Il Cancello" which produces quality wine and oil, which you can also buy at 'Tavern. The Chianti-style furnishings are very pleasant and supervised directly by Fabrizio and his cousin Pierdavide.
Fabrizio is for the high quality of the products, including various organic ones, and strictly follows the seasonality with high level flavors and presentations. The menu presents the best of the Chianti and Tuscan tradition, but also with excellent fish dishes. You can open, for example, with the Gran Tagliere or the Grilled Octopus. Followed by Pappardella del Brigante with wild boar, Casarecce with hare and Spaghetto allo scoglio. This will be followed by an excellent steak cooked on the brazier, which by now very few have, the veal ossobuco and the excellent fried shrimp and squid. Strictly homemade desserts.
The Osteria Enoteca i Vignaioli also has a large open-air grill in the green, which also has an aperitif, great for those returning from the sea who want to avoid long queues.
