Trattoria i Fratellini in Florence changes management since 2019 and sees Lorenzo Dei and Matteo Catani, Riccardo Colnaghi, Fabio Nanni and Niccolò Dei as owners.

Air of Tuscany in the new management of the historical trattoria “I Fratellini” on via Ghibellina. Lorenzo Dei, cook and football player for the Parte Azzurra of the Santa Croce neighbourhood team of the Calcio Storico, is the soul of the place accompanied by Matteo Catani, Riccardo Colnaghi, Fabio Nanni and Niccolò Dei.

Lorenzo has Florence in his blood, and even if he has had a milanese parenthesis, his city remained in his heart and he decided to start afresh with this trattoria which has a
lovely story dating back to 1958, with a big restructuring, entirely tuscan, even down to the furniture. The trattoria is also a shop of carefully selected products which can be
viewd and bought accessing on line on www.totasteit.it. The menu is rigourosly traditional tuscan like all the ingredients chosen only from artisanal producers.
Home made bread and pasta.

You will be able to start with Tartare of heifer steak with puntarelle and small anchovies, Stracciatella di bufala and truffles, Lamprey rissoles, Fried tripe and then the Grand Platter of cold cuts from the norcineria Patrone of Venturina, the coccoli with Cinta senese ham and stracchino cheese, and vegetables pickled in oil. Will follow the Pici with Cinta Senese ragù, Gnudi with butter and sage, Pigeon Risotto, Tortelli stuffed with lamprey with drops of green sauce, Buckwheat Polenta with wild boar ragù.

Real specialty of the house the chimney in view for the barbecue and the turnspit with oak and beech firewood. Then excellent meat from tuscan breeding farms, absolutely antibiotic free. After steaks, sliced beef, tenderloins, mixed grills, pig's liver and the mythical sucking pig.
